Efficient toe-sock removal pattern
I do not enjoy my process for removing toe-socks, of which I wear quite often. I usually remove them such that the toes are out (in the same way as they are when the socks are on my feet) so that they are less trouble to put on than they would be if the toes were stuck inside the socks, as is the case when one removes them by reaching one’s finger inside a sock and pulling it off into the inside-out position. It occurs to me that I pay time and energy to put the sock into this position, and that I am paying early in hopes that later I will appreciate my past self’s service; however, I now question whether the total cost of this extra action is the most efficient use of energy with regard to the whole life-cycle of putting on, removing, putting on (and so on) toe-socks.
